Rainbow Obsidian
A volcanic glass formed through rapid cooling of silica-rich lava, containing microscopic layers that refract light into subtle bands of color.
Its depth is revealed only through movement and angle, never all at once.
Rainbow obsidian holds truth that remains grounded, offering clarity without exposure.

Inclusion-Rich Amethyst Quartz (Super Seven)
A naturally occurring quartz containing multiple mineral inclusions formed through overlapping geological events.
Distinct materials coexist within a single crystalline structure, retaining their differences without collapse.
This stone reflects integration that does not rush toward resolution.

Tourmalinated Quartz
Clear & milky quartz crystallized alongside tourmaline, recording interruption and convergence within a single matrix.
Light and shadow develop together here, neither erased nor emphasized.
It anchors illumination in what is held, not what is avoided.

Form

The pattern repeats along stainless-steel German spiral memory wire, moving between opacity, complexity, and transparency.
The bracelet returns naturally to the wrist, allowing presence to do its work over time.

How to Work With This Piece

Wear Unfolding Light as an object of attention during moments of discernment, prayer, or reflection. Notice how different stones reveal themselves over time, just as insight does—gradually, relationally, and without coercion.

Maker’s Note

This Spiral Touchstone was assembled slowly and intentionally, using 10 mm stones chosen for their weight and presence rather than uniformity. I work with spiral memory wire because it holds form without rigidity, mirroring how clarity and healing tend to emerge when given time, space, and gentle return.

The stones in Unfolding Light were selected for how they relate to one another, not for perfection. Subtle variations, inclusions, and shifts in tone are part of the piece, and part of its honesty. No two touchstones are exactly alike.
