To The Root — Terms & Conditions
Last updated: February 2026
These Terms & Conditions are offered to establish a clear, respectful container for engaging with To The Root ("TTR"). They are intended to support mutual understanding, ethical practice, and shared responsibility.
1. Nature of the Work
To The Root offers spiritual direction, Enneagram equipping, contemplative practices, retreats, group experiences, and handmade grounding tools. This work is formative and spiritual in nature, oriented toward awareness, discernment, and integration.
The work of To The Root is invitational rather than prescriptive. It does not seek to direct outcomes, provide certainty, or offer solutions on behalf of participants.
2. Not Therapy, Counseling, or Medical Care
Services offered through To The Root are not psychotherapy, counseling, medical treatment, or mental health services.
I do not diagnose or treat mental health conditions.
I do not provide crisis intervention.
This work is not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, or psychiatric care.
In some circumstances, participation in spiritual direction or Enneagram work may be appropriate only if a participant is also under the care of a licensed mental health professional. To The Root reserves the right to pause, decline, or discontinue services if adequate clinical support is not in place or if a participant’s needs fall outside the scope of this work.
Participants are encouraged to seek and maintain appropriate professional support when needed. Many people engage in this work alongside therapy or other forms of care, and this is often experienced as complementary.
Please note that I am a mandated reporter. While confidentiality is honored within the bounds described in these Terms, I am legally required to report concerns related to abuse, neglect, or credible risk of harm to self or others, in accordance with applicable laws.
3. Personal Responsibility & Agency
Participation in any offering through To The Root is voluntary. Participants remain fully responsible for their own choices, actions, interpretations, and wellbeing.
This work supports self-observation, self-correction, and discernment, but does not make decisions for participants or assume responsibility for outcomes in their lives.

Individual spiritual direction and Enneagram sessions are held in confidence, with respect for privacy and trust.
Confidentiality may be broken only in circumstances where:
There is risk of serious harm to self or others
Disclosure is required by law
In group settings (including retreats and group work), confidentiality is encouraged but cannot be guaranteed. Participants are expected to respect the privacy of others.
5. Scheduling, Payment, & Cancellations

Payment terms will be communicated prior to services.
Cancellations or rescheduling require reasonable notice. Specific policies may vary by offering.

Participation in retreats and group experiences involves shared responsibility, respect for boundaries, and care for oneself and others.
